Kaia Kordosky-Herrera, MSPAS, PA-C

Assistant Professor, Physician Assistant Program

Kaia Kordosky-Herrera is an experienced physician assistant who has come full circle in her career by returning to the University of Arizona. She joins our team as an instructor and clinical coordinator in the Physician Assistant Program.

Kaia graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education from the UofA and taught in the Tucson area for four years. She then attended Midwestern University, where she obtained her master’s degree in physician assistant studies. Throughout her career, Kaia has worked extensively in Arizona, particularly in rural areas. Her clinical experience spans emergency medicine, orthopedics, and primary care, allowing her to care for patients of all ages in both acute and chronic settings.

As the first PA employed at Verde Valley Medical Center, Kaia played a crucial role in developing guidelines for future PA employees. Her ownership of a primary care clinic in Prescott, Arizona, provided her with insights not only as a practitioner but also as a clinical director. Kaia’s outreach efforts included conducting physical examinations for athletes, ranging from elementary level to semi-professional. She firmly believes that education is integral to successful health outcomes and regularly conducted educational seminars for the community.
