Jacy Farkas, PhD

Associate Director, University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities

Jacy Farkas, PhD, serves as the associate director of the College of Medicine – Tucson’s Sonoran Center for Excellence in Disabilities, as well as director of the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. In her roles, she helps oversee programs and initiatives related to person-centered practices, youth-to-adult transition, intersectional research and information dissemination.

Dr. Farkas obtained her MA in Information Resources and Library Science in 2010 and her PhD in Family Studies and Human Development, both from the U of A.
