Chad Brinkman, PT, DPT

Board-certified Orthopedic clinical specialist
Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education, Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

Chad Brinkman PT, DPT, OCS began his career treating in outpatient orthopedics in Denver, CO after earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Duke University. He found a love of working with individuals who have had pain for years with failed treatment after failed treatment. This pushed him to dive deeper into the complexities of regional interdependence and chronic pain science. He continued to deepen his understanding in orthopedics and earned his Orthopedic Specialist Certification in 2020.

Quickly, he found a passion for teaching through taking students in the clinic. He has been a clinical instructor for DPT students as well as a mentor for OCS residents. In all situations he discovered a passion for partnering with these growing professionals and helping them find their way. These leadership skills led to opportunities to teach at a local university and to become a clinic director, cultivating more opportunity to mentor more clinicians and students.

Dr. Brinkman enjoys building confidence in students and helping them develop their critical thinking skills. He prefers to act as a guide in self-led learning and assisting with reflection to develop a skill set which will continue personal growth for a lifetime.
