Diego Grajeda
Class of 2026
Diego is from El Paso Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a
Bachelor of Science in Biology, Genetics and Genomics. While at UT Austin, he worked
as a Teaching Assistant for Genetics, volunteered for Crisis Text Line, and researched
developmental genes in C. Elegans. He also worked as a Vision Therapist where he
guided and supported those aiming to improve their vision health. Diego's goal in
becoming a genetic counselor is to aid those in his community and to expand the
accessibility of the field to as many families as possible. Outside of academics, he enjoys
bouldering, running, playing video games, and videography. As well as going on long
walks with his dog, Porgi.
