Ileana Trujillo
Ileana was born and raised in the heart of California’s Central Valley. She graduated with her Bachelor of the Arts in Psychology from California State University Stanislaus with minors in biology and chemistry. While at CSU Stanislaus, she volunteered in a research lab that focused on microsatellite markers in California ground squirrels, volunteered as a peer mentor for prospective first generation college students and worked as a Supplemental Instructor where she ran interactive group study sessions for courses in General and Cellular + Molecular Biology. After graduation, she worked as a housing advocate at her local domestic violence shelter, where she provided emotional support and advocated on the behalf of survivors. In her free time, Ileana enjoys hiking, reading, and playing with her dog Benji.
