Matt Peters
Matt has worked at the University of Arizona Health Sciences (UAHS) since 2004, serving in a variety of administrative and research support roles. From 2004 to 2008, he was part of a research team at the Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health (MEZCOPH), where he supported NIH and SAMHSA grants that addressed health disparities among Native Americans in the U.S.-Mexico borderlands. In 2008, he joined MEZCOPH’s Network for Information Counseling as an intake counselor and referral coordinator for ASHLine. Since 2010, Matt has worked for UAHS Administration, where he has taken on a variety of roles, including managing a room scheduling office and coordinating shared governance processes. He joined Health Sciences Design in 2020 to support the program's communications, special projects and general administration. Prior to his work at UArizona, Matt attended Fort Hays State University, where he completed a degree in Spanish. As a second-generation immigrant (bicultural Asian American) and first-generation college graduate, Matt is both personally and professionally committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in higher education and broader society.
