Tawab Saljuqi, MD, DrPH

Assistant Director for Research, Department of Surgery

Dr. Saljuqi is a medical doctor, public health researcher and former official in the Ministry of Public Health in Afghanistan. His research interests include public health policy, health care administration, health behavior, health promotion and health economics.

Dr. Saljuqi is also an instructor at the Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health and the faculty advisor for two research teams at Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP): Falls Prevention Program and Understanding Trauma Patient Health Literacy and Patient Discharge. In addition to those two teams, he co-advises a third team with John Pollard, PhD; Kasi Kiehlbaugh, PhD; and Greg Heileman, PhD, called Finding Research Made Easy, a student-led VIP team focused on streamlining the process of connecting undergraduate students to research opportunities at the U of A.
