Health Sciences Design HSD Makerspace
Early and intermittent prototyping is key to design thinking. Making ideas tangible, with anything from a drawing to a working model, provides an opportunity to see what does and doesn’t work. Presenting the prototype to an end user lets a design team observe how they use and respond to it.
The HSD Makerspace serves as a collaborative studio for learning and sharing knowledge, using equipment and materials that enable creative production at a diverse range of skill levels and technical backgrounds. Craft supplies, hand tools, digital manufacturing technology and fabrication equipment facilitate the experimentation and problem-solving that move design projects forward.
